College of Business

Fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the college offers three degree programs. A variety of services foster student success: an integrated Business Student Advising service, Business Tutoring Service program for multiple subject areas, 18 student organizations sponsoring a variety of community service projects and competitions, MBA Collaboration Center, Academic Hosting Center for the SAP University Alliance, Professional Sales Program, and the Center for Entrepreneurship.

Our Mission

The College of Business creates a student-centered learning community focused on applied business education. The college’s faculty emphasizes applied research, partnership with stakeholders, and continuous improvement.

Programs

The college’s two undergraduate degrees (120 units) in Business Administration and Business Information Systems require common cores of courses culminating in a capstone course on strategic management.

The BS in Business Administration offers seven specialty Options: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, and Project Management.

The BS in Business Information Systems includes two specialty Options: Management Information Systems as well as Operations & Supply Chain Management.

The MBA program (30 units) prepares participants for rewarding managerial positions in any industry. Our MBA program’s streamlined prerequisites foster greater accessibility for graduates from any undergraduate major. Students can pursue a general MBA or specializations in Accounting, Management Information Systems, or Project Management.

Students from across campus decide to pursue a Minor or Certificate in order to broaden their skills and job opportunities. Many of the Option areas listed above also include a Minor. Additionally, the college offers Minors in International Business, Managing Diversity, and Managing for Sustainability as well as a Certificate in Professional Sales. The Professional Accounting Certificate allows students to work toward the 150 units now required for CPA certification.
