Subject matter introduces the student to legal, socioeconomic, and environmental factors related to the real estate industry. The course examines such areas as (1) the economic characteristics of real estate resources and the basic factors influencing the supply and demand for real estate; (2) national, state, and local influences on real estate markets, including demographic trends; (3) land ownership and conveyance, financing and marketing real property; and (4) managerial review of marketing practices. 3 hours lecture.
